Robotic Laser Cutting»About Robotic Laser CuttingWe are excited about our advancement in the integration of end of arm robotic laser cutting. We integrate a Fiber Watt Laser on the end of a robot that offers precision cutting with high repeatability and accuracy. Our laser process station is certified as a Class 1 laser product to the requirements of the US Federal Product Performance Standard for Laser Products contained in the regulations in 21 CFR subchapter J. Class 1 laser products are not considered to be hazardous. This trim cell station incorporates an embedded commercial Class 4 Fiber Laser system which, by its self, may be hazardous. However, our trim cell incorporates a protective housing, interlocks, and laser protective windows in the machine design, such that there is no exposure or human access to Class 4 laser radiation during operation, maintenance or normal service to the enclosure. The Laser can easily trim through plastic, cloth, vinyl and other materials. It requires extremely low maintenance. There are no external mirrors involved in this type of laser process which saves a tremendous amount of time on set-up and maintenance. We offer a turnkey cutting system that is fast, repeatable, reliable, and controlled allowing for a precise cut every time. The Laser cell is designed with extreme flexibility in mind. It is designed with components that allow the purchaser to re-tool and reprogram the robots to process new parts. This ability is necessary to meet the changing demands of the industry. Examples of a few different types of applications this could be used for would be exterior/interior trim parts, substrates, pillars, headliners, instrument panels, door panels as well as many other applications.
